Helena Wells-Quinzel is H.G. Wells ([info]indelibleink) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
Claudia was right in her assumption, Helena did feel extremely out of place in there. Though she couldn't deny that the scents she picked up did smell good, which only served to rouse her hunger. However, that didn't mean she wasn't out of place. Helena wasn't a snob, well not typically anyway, but she couldn't help but feel Claudia had picked this place deliberately. As such, she cast Claudia a bit of a pointed and knowing look.

"No, they did not use barbeque sauce. Though I am certain knowing what they used for sauce would put both of us off of eating." If one could call this eating. Oh she spied some of the other people in there eating with their hands and some were making quite the mess. Suddenly she had a vision of Claudia flicking barbeque sauce at her if she somehow managed to remain pristine while eating. That vision in and of itself was horrifying. It was one thing to be dirty from exercise and chasing down artifacts. It was quite another to have things meant to be eaten thrown at you.

"I have yet to decide upon that," she returned with a slightly suspicious look at the other woman as she took her seat. This was certainly not a place where Helena ever envisioned herself eating at. As such to Claudia's eyes, she did seem slightly uncomfortable, or perhaps out of her element was more accurate.
