Anakin raised his eyebrows, “Oh. That would explain being in the castle.”
Anakin didn’t hold it against Padme that she didn’t know how to justify the calendaring system with this world’s method of keeping time. It was impossible to line them up in any meaningful fashion. Plus, Jedi didn’t celebrate birthdays, that would encourage attachments, after all, and he’d had never picked up the practice of doing so even living the last twenty three years on this planet. Birthday celebrations were more of a thing for children than adults anyways.
“And you’re-” Noting the absence of anything ‘baby’ in the room, a look of recalling fond memories lit up over his face. But he wiped that nostalgic smile off before it lasted more than a second because Padmé was clearly upset. He was upsetting her. He sobered up, sat up straighter and made sure to eliminate any joking from his voice. “Forty-seven. We have- will purchase a house, at your prompting, in a few years.”
