Harry Potter ([info]theboywholived_) wrote in [info]makebelievelog,
Harry looked over the swoop bike as he listened to Anakin speak. He had never seen anything like it before, at least, never in person. That wasn't to say that Harry wouldn't be able to put basic spells on it to prevent it's unauthorized use. He glanced up at the Jedi when it was stated that he didn't desire the child to never be able to use the bike, just that he wanted the child to not use the bike without permission. That made things slightly more difficult, as he would need to apply spells to it that could have a non-magical person override it for when it was appropriate. Though Harry was certain that he would be able to do it.

He remained silent as he considered his options. Anakin had stated that it was for his younger self, so Harry figured that any sort of magic that would recognize Anakin as the proper owner of the bike could quite possibly recognize a younger version of Anakin as the proper owner. He tilted his head slightly, then looked up at the Jedi in front of him.

"An age line," he stated. It was simple enough. "I cannot do anything that would make the bike recognize you as the proper owner, and to only work for you... the spell may not be able to differentiate between you and a younger you. But an age line would not be able to tell any similarity between you and a younger you, it would only be able to tell the age of the person attempting to cross it. I would have to make the age restriction older than the child, yet younger than you. It would not harm anyone younger than the specified aged, it would merely prevent them from getting past the line and to the bike..."
