What: Julie comes over for dinner!

Henry wasn't too terribly surprised that Julie had accepted his invitation to dinner. He was the King of England, after all. But he found himself to be pleased that she had accepted, he found that he rather liked her. Even though she had a son, even though she'd had the son out of wedlock. For some reason, that didn't matter to him with her.

Henry had asked the kitchen staff (or, rather demanded. And they obliged) that they bring some food up to his rooms for dinner that night. He had them bring up more food than was necessary, but he was always over the top when it came to eating and drinking. He had also found some wine, what dinner was complete without wine?

He had asked her to arrive at around seven that evening, though he wasn't really one to stick to a set time for things. So, needless to say, he was running a bit late with getting ready for tonight. She had mentioned something about his clothing the first time he had met her, so he decided to try and wear something that the men in this area tended to wear. He had just gotten out of the bath (showers were still a bit foreign to him, he didn't understand how they worked. But baths were okay) and he was in the process of getting dressed.
