Claudia stopped by the kitchen before going to H.G.'s room to meet up with Myka. She had a bowl of popcorn under one arm and two sodas tucked into the other. The sodas were from her own stash, the popcorn from the kitchen. No matter what movie or movies Myka had chosen, some snackage was essential.
So long as it wasn't a sappy movie fest or a Castle marathon, Claudia would be good with Myka's choice. She had been clicking around on her computer and realized that the guy who "played" Todd had been on an episode of Castle, after which she had started to watch it. It had been evident from the first two minutes on the screen that "Todd" had done it. The rest of the characters were nervous, twitchy. He had been calm, talked in a calm and soothing tone and - then she had turned it off.
After that, Claudia had all the more desire to focus on something else. Myka was like her older sister and the scheduled girl time sounded great. It was with that mentality - the mentality of someone who wanted to kick back and relax - that she knocked on the door and waited for Myka to let her in. With full arms, she couldn't quite reach up to get the door. Knocking was another matter, since it just required slight bending and use of wrist.
