Padmé was tired, after the day before. The news of the future and letting the younger Anakin know the details had been something she knew would need to happen. Still, it had been high emotions. She hadn't wanted the young man to need to feel such things... but she wasn't going to lie to him. Still, they had gotten back to the rooms around midnight and it had taken her a good while to relax, let alone sleep. Anakin had stayed in his workroom, leaving some space, and she had felt that perhaps a bit of space would be good for everyone for a brief bout of time.

But she had woken up early, twisting in the sheets in the cold bed. Alone. Ideally, the younger Anakin was getting some sleep; Padmé could take breakfast to her husband, get some food herself, and then check in on the boy again. She knew she wasn't his mother, nor would she ever try to take Shmi's place, but she did care about how he was doing. She was determined to make sure things were okay for him.

Still, she was in a slightly sleep deprived state when she turned the corner of the hallway without paying heed. She nearly ran into someone, but instinct took over and she jerked back. "I'm sorry! I should've been paying more attention."

Myka truly didn't mind and if she were being honest with herself, the tea might not even help her sleep. The constant nightmares and recent events would continue to plague her dreams. She needed to talk to someone, but Myka refused to unload all of her problems on someone that she had just met. Maybe at some point she'd drop in on Pete and have a heart to heart. She's not really seen that much of the annoying man that was her partner but also the brother she'd never had. Myka nodded in response to continue to the kitchen and began walking slowly.

A smile appeared on her face once again at Padme's question. "I don't mind. I'm still fairly new. It's been about a month since I arrived here and I'm still adjusting. The Castle is pretty large and I've kept to my room or the library for the most part. Has it been hard learning the culture?" Myka answered as honestly as she could. She had for the most part kept to herself or been with Helena, interacting with a few individuals over the network.

Padmé nodded after a moment, content to admit that it had indeed been difficult. "It has, on some levels. Culture specific terminology, slang, and little details like that. Even swear words, where I'm from, are different." Though she had, thankfully, been filled in on the basics so that she would know if someone said something terribly offensive near or to her.

"I've also not read a number of 'classics,' seen a number of 'classics,' and some food is - new. I miss certain things from home, though there are some things that translate. Similarities, similar foods, that sort of thing." She glanced over toward Myka as they walked, "Though I will admit certain political differences perplex me. What is it like, as a whole, where you're from?"

Cultural differences varied from country to country. There were times, Myka worried that Pete would make locating and snagging an artifact that much harder. Growing up in a bookstore had given her the instincts needed to try to adapt in situations. Pete usually meant well but more often than naught his good intentions led them down a slipper slope. A slope in which they were scrutinized further. But for Padme the situation was all the more different. Myka's recollection of the films knew that it wasn't as simple as cultural differences. This was an entirely new way of life for the other woman.

At the mention of not having read the classics, the nerd in Myka perked up. When it came to books she was well knowledgeable and could offer suggestions to Padme. It wasn't often that she bonded with others. Choosing to keep to herself more than anything else. "I can recommend a few classics that I particularly love." Myka said all ready beginning to compile a short list. At the question about where she was from, Myka faltered. Did the rules of the Warehouse applied now that they were here? She still had her one, that one person that she could share her world with. Myka shook her head slightly. Padme had said "as a whole," so it was a question that could be revisited at a later date. "It's very much like the city in some regards."

Padmé smiled at the woman's offer and nodded. "I would appreciate a list of suggestions. Maybe we could meet up at a later date? Sometime when it's not quite so early and we've both had a bit more time. If it wouldn't be too much trouble and you could explain the basics of the list to me, so I know which I would understand without further cultural investigation."

She paused as they reached the kitchen, "I believe you can find my name in the phones to send a 'text,' if that's agreeable with you?" After the emotionally draining night before, and Anakin not being in the rooms, Padmé figured it was best to hold off on a significant social exchange until later. She could be polite and sociable at any time, due to the politician's experiences she had, but she didn't want to have false pretenses in social exchanges if they could be avoided.
