Who: Myka and Character Roulette ala Jackie
What: Random Encounter
When: Friday Afternoon
Where: Library
Rating/Warnings: TBD
Status: Closed, Complete

Off and on she regained consciousness throughout the morning. Each time becoming more and more lucid. Until finally her fever broke. Myka had no recollection of the past two days when she finally woke early in the afternoon on Friday. Her body felt lethargic and she very nearly collapsed when trying to stand on her own two feet. At some point Wednesday she must have returned to Helena's room but everything was a blank. Sure, she remembered visiting the dragons with Charlie. That had been an experience she wouldn't soon forget. Vaguely recalled returning to the castle and then nothing. While up visiting the dragons she'd felt a cold coming on but figured she could weather it out. But as she sat on the edge of Helena's bed she wondered if she had been wrong. Had the cold been worse than she'd initially thought? Bad enough to erase two days worth of memories from her mind? Before her thoughts could consume her anymore she noticed her phone lying on the opposite side of the bed. Helena gave her privacy when it came to personal conversations with others so the phones placement set her on edge. Had Helena been spying on her when she didn't realize it? Did she not trust her to the point she'd invade her privacy? Similar thoughts such as these flew through her mind causing tears to come to her eyes.

Shaking her head she wiped away the tears and grabbed her phone. Helena wouldn't betray her trust that way. There was a reasonable explanation for why her phone was not where it should be. A message flashed across her screen from Steve and upon reading it she went back through all of her sent and received texts. With each text that she read her face grew more and more horrified. Her question from earlier had been confirmed. She'd been much sicker than she'd thought. Claudia and Helena must have found her continued texts amusing which just added to her embarrassment. The Wonderful Land of Wells, clearly her mind was lacking in its creativity. After shooting a message off to Steve about forgetting what he'd read she saw a note sitting on her bedside table. Picking it up she recognized Helena's handwriting telling her that she had two hours in the library before she needed to return to bed. Myka would have gone off in search of the Victorian woman and argued that she wasn't her mother if she didn't feel the aches in her body. Getting out of the bed she quickly showered and put on her pants and one of Helena's shirts. The scent of which calmed the storm of emotions inside her. As she walked out of Helena's room into the sitting area, there was no sign of the other woman. Myka had hoped to talk to her about how bad her fever had been but that would have to wait. Before long she walked through the doors of the library and was assaulted with the scent of books and another memory. This time of doing research on dragons. She sincerely hoped that the memories weren't going to hit her like a canon ball every time something triggered them. Because if that was going to happen she didn't want to recall them. Before another memory could surface she made her way to the fiction section and began browsing the books on the shelves.

"There's a transmitter on earth that makes them work anywhere. They can't begin working unless I build something for them to transmit off of - proof positive we're on another planet in another dimension, but super sucky because... no Farnsworths suck." Claudia said with a shrug, then broke into a hint of a smirk at the devil child and other remark.

"Uh-huh. When I fall ill, somehow I suspect I'll be hiding behind Steve." She stuck her tongue out at Myka, very briefly, and flashed her a smile before reaching to adjust the messenger bag strap on her shoulder. "And it wasn't a happy ending for Trailer, who had no blanket."

With that, she moved to walk off and let Myka have a bit of peace. She could pester her more, properly, later once she was feeling better.
