[Reg]
You were right, you know. This inability to taste tea is balls.

[Tracey]
The inability to taste Jaffa cakes is a tragedy. Yes or no?

Lucky you! I got hideous knitwear. I wear it as often as possible because Danny physically recoils from it, it's amazing.

Really? Mine seems impervious to talismans.

Your jumper or your mini-me?

My mini-me. I received a hat and scarf set. Green, it's quite nice.

Very festive! I'd describe mine, but it defies words. Unless you'd like a photo.

I'm fine, thanks. My imagination is healthy and I can let it fill in the gaps where knowledge fails.

Good choice. You could always come over to see it now that I'm not arm-pit deep in sawdust and tile grout and paint tins? Or you could come over for tea, and I'll hide it in the deepest darkest cupboard I can find and spare your eyeballs?

I could.

But I thought you couldn't taste tea?

I can't. But I still drink it, else I might drop from being undercaffeinated and I don't think that's even a word. And you can.

I can't taste biscuits either, it's tragic.

It's true I can.

You need to wear your Jumper of Optimism. Consider how this is a benefit, not a detriment.

So, do you wish to risk your eyeballs today? I can stick the kettle on now and you could pop over. Or I'm working a half-day on Tuesday, if you wanted to come round in the afternoon/evening instead?

Oh, we're planning this

Today is fine. It will give my younger self time to cover more surfaces of my quarters with half filled cups of water.

- That's

- What?

- Why is he doing that? Is it like in that Mel Gibson film?

There is a film with Mel Gibson in it where his little daughter leaves glasses of water all over the house for whatever reason. And that's about all I remember about it. I think I saw it when I was drunk once. Or possibly had a concussion, I'm not sure.

I suppose that could be his reason. Maybe. It still sounds purposeless.
