Summary: 5th Choosing Ceremony

Five weeks gone, one week still to go. As much as Alicia was starting to love being here, she was also missing her family fiercely. Her family and her friends. She particularly missed the privacy to give Lee her unfiltered piece of mind and let him know exactly how much she despised what he had done… and how much she appreciated it. She longed to see Adrian away from all this, to see if this heat in her stomach whenever she looked at him was real and how he was when she was completely alone with him. If he would even give her that chance.

Her mind had drifted, she knew that, when she spotted Bill step forward. Momentarily confused, she sought out and found Lee’s eyes and sent him a small nod before she sat up straight and put on smile.

Bill had absolutely no doubts about who he was going to choose. No one else likely did, either; it wasn't that he didn't talk to the other women on the island, but rather that he had only one woman who had caught his attention in a romantic fashion. He was entirely taken with Melinda Bobbin, and everyone knew it.

Or if they didn't, they were exceptionally dense.

As much as he missed his children, and he did very much, he was incredibly grateful he'd had this opportunity thus far.

"Well, this is a choice I have no problem making," Bill said in a soft, deep voice. "Melinda, there's no one I'd rather choose than you."

Melinda nearly bounded out of her seat. She was falling, and falling hard, unless she had already. As she crossed the floor to Bill, eyes sparkling and her smile bright as she came nearer, she did her best to keep that small voice in the back of her mind – the small voice that told her that this was all because of where they were, and that going back home would change everything – so far back that it would barely register as a whisper.

For now, she didn’t think about the cameras, when she grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling his head down for a happy, smiling kiss.

Bill caught her up in his arms, lifting her up off the ground and kissing her quite thoroughly. He knew there would be bumps in the road to come, things they'd have to talk about -- and they would, he thought. They were both smart people. But for now they could enjoy this thrill.

He traced the rose along her cheek once they'd pulled back a little and smiled at her. "For you, beautiful," he said.

	Melinda shivered under then gentle touch of the rose, as her cheeks heated up in a slight blush and a small giggle escaped her. “Thank you, love,” she smiled, and took the rose, letting her fingers thread through Bill’s before they stepped aside to give room to the next in line. Picking up his rose, Finbar looked at Cho. There really was only one he’d like to stay, and the transformation in her attitude towards him had him tempted to tease her a bit. Then again, she probably already knew, and considering that rather than looking like he was considering the other women he’d been looking at her, it seemed moot to even try.

“Cho?” He asked, his eyebrow quirked, before he held his hand out to her, offering himself before he offered the rose. “Stay for a bit longer, yeah?”

Cináed + Millicent

After two weeks here, Cináed had started considering prolonging his time away from the island. Not permanently, but maybe travel to the different dragon preserves around the world and see more. Looking to the women in front of him, he could see maybe doing so with some of them, though by bar not all of them. Besides, it wasn’t all of them that he wanted to take, and only really one he’d started to get to know a little better.

With that in mind, he picked up the rose that had been pointed out to him, and glanced at the camera. For a brief moment, he was concerned that he wasn’t doing it right, but he’d watched both Weasley and Quigley do it, so how could it go wrong?

“Millicent,” he said and smiled at her. “It’s been great meeting you and getting to know you a little, but I’m sure there’s more to you than what I’ve seen, and I’d like the chance to see more. Will you stay another week?”

Millicent was nervous. Millicent was always nervous at the ceremony. Especially now, since the fabulous looking Romilda had joined the group. Some of the others she got along with well enough, or had come to mental terms with her insecurities or such, but the arrival of that particular witch had stirred the mental pot a bit, so to speak.

So it was honest surprise and an even more honest, bright smile that she bestowed on Cináed when he spoke her name. Not only to be chosen, but to be chosen by an attractive bloke like him who didn't actually know her from the past. For once it actually overwhelmed the relief she felt at not going home yet. "I'd be happy to," she told him, stepping up to take the rose from him, fingers brushing against his.

Adrian waited patiently throughout the other names being called. While he and Alicia weren't nearly as... attached? ... as Cormac and Lavender, he had no doubt the others had noticed their connection by now. And while he wasn't the most popular wizard, mostly thanks to his Pureblood status and House loyalties, he wasn't outwardly disliked like McLaggen, so he wasn't worried anyone was trying to come between them. The familiar nervousness hit him when he heard his name called - was she still as sure about them as he had become?

He stepped forward, "Alicia, it's so funny to me that despite years in school together and our mutual interests, we've only really come to know each other in the last weeks. And, by funny, I mean, just, terrible. I want more than few weeks with you, I'm confident, and so will you give me one more?"

Alicia chuckled softly at Adrian’s speech. She felt privileged to have gotten to see this side of him, and utterly stupid for not having had the courage to look past the fact that he was Slytherin. But she hadn’t and he was and now that they had scratched the surface, she was curious to see what else there was.

Standing in front of him, she smiled up at him then drew in a deep breath as if she was actually considering something “I’ll give you another week,” she smirked, suppressing her smile. “And then we’ll wing from there?”

Blaise felt as if he was an impostor. Everyone else seemed to have paired off, even Millicent and here he was still unsure as to what he wanted or if any of these ladies could even begin to hold his attention. He looked at the three that were left and smiled internally at the thought of choosing Lavender again just for the hell of it but decided against it. Lavender herself might have tolerated it once, but he had a feeling she'd have a bit more to say if he did it again. So that left two, Angelica and Romilda.

He'd talked to both this week but had by default spent more time with Romilda. They were in close quarters and had even enjoyed their time in Vegas, though he had to admit some of the machinery had been confusing at first. "Romilda," he stated stepping forward, "you've been a wonderful neighbor and I'd like to spend a little more time with you."
