Re: Bill + Melinda + OPEN
”Never William,” Melinda agreed with a beaming smile and a nod. She knew all too well about unwanted names, although her dislike went towards the diminutive version of her name and she would never accept being called Mellie.
Following his gaze as he looked around them, Melinda took in the surroundings again. With the setting sun, the ocean shone with orange and gold sparkles and the warm sand of the beach seemed even warmer. Her survey of the area came back to Bill and she looked up to see him looking at her. She held his gaze – or maybe he was holding hers, she wasn’t sure – before she smiled and looked down to take a sip of her drink. There was a giddy feeling bubbling in her stomach, and she knew it was silly, but really? Wasn’t this whole show based on flirting and dating? So if the first man she talked to here – the first man who wasn’t Cormac, mind – happened to make her giddy, she was going to enjoy it. “Mmm, yeah, six weeks of vacation,” she sighed dreamily. “I can’t remember the last time I had more than a long weekend off. And the dates?” She looked at him and grinned. “Well, they’re only once a week, and you have all the rest of the time to relax and have fun and get to know people here.”
