Re: Alicia
The rose was cold, Alicia noted as she picked it up. The waxy stem and odd contrast to the silky, temperate petals of the flower. And it smelled sweet, so incredibly sweet that it made her smile as she stepped forward. That smile, however, wasn’t just because of the rose, but because she was looking at Adrian and they were finally getting out of here. There was so much potential, so many things she wanted to know and wanted him to know. Things she didn’t want to share with anybody else.
“If someone, back in school, had told me that I’d be looking forward to spending time with you, Adrian,” she said with a small, surprised chuckle, “I would have told them they needed their head examined. Either that, or that someone was playing a trick on me. But now, ten years later, that’s exactly the situation I’m in. I do look forward to spending time with you, I’ve enjoyed the time we’ve spent together immensely already, and I am hoping that you would like to spend some more time together, and see where this leads.”
