RP: Country clubbing (Backdated)
Characters: Romilda & Blaise
Date: 2/10/2006
Setting: Nashville country western music clubs
Summary: Blaise & Romi have their date, country-style! (An evening of live music club hopping in Nashville, TN)
Warnings: TBD

Romilda hadn't been able to help herself. At one point, walking down the technicolored main street of Nashville's music-way, she'd stopped and used some exchanged muggle American money to buy a black cowgirl hate that had fake crystals along the brim. She'd laughed at herself and given Blaise a pouty look, "How does it look?" She asked.

They were headed to a live show, after having had a bbq dinner and drinks - dark beers served cold in the souther American style, mason jars and all - of a popular band from the States, called Sugarland, which she'd never heard of. There was something intoxicating about the atmosphere of the city, though, and while this was normally the last thing she'd be caught doing - she was much more a champagne and palm trees sort of gal - she found herself letting a little bit loose and having a very good time.

"I've never really spent much time here in the US, I have to admit," she said, letting out a satisfied sigh.

Blaise had done a little read each prior to the evening and while he wasn't quite ready for cowboy hays and Spurs he had come out of his comfort zone and opted for a pair of jeans. Thankfully magic allowed him to create the texture of a pair of khaki's as he didn't enjoy the feel of denim against his skin.

"I can see where it might have some appeal," he gave an honest answer. Hell, before tonight he'd only seen cowgirls in films and they'd been all over here. In fact, the film that stuck out the most to him had been one called Coyote Ugly and he'd seen the sign for it but Romilda had wanted to do the live show first. "Though I'd love if you'd give me a little indulgence with it later." Yes, he definitely wondered if he could convince her to dance on a bar like the girls in the film. Then again he'd likely have to share his secret love of Muggle films in order to convince her, but maybe not.

"Indulgence, eh?" She asked, grinning at him and turning to take his hand in a playful gesture. "And what might you like to see me do in this hat?" She asked, her head cocking in curiosity.

A group passed them, rowdy and whooping in the street, just as they came to the entrance of the club. She looked up, "Do you think we're the only ones here? Brits? Magicks?" Her voice lowered conspiratorially at the last word. She wondered if Blaise was the sort she could have some fun with in a crowd, without anyone noticing.

Blaise clasped his hand around hers as they continued to walk toward their next location for the night. "Dance on a bar at Coyote Ugly," he said as if she ought to know exactly what that was. "That is if they actually do that sort of thing," he added the disclaimer as he had learned there were things in Muggle films that weren't necessarily how the Muggle world really worked.

So far though the scene seemed to be fairly spot on. The rambunctious nature of the crowds on the streets fit perfectly into his assumptions of the location. Chuckling lightly at her lowing her volume at the last word considering no one was likely paying any heed to them he leaned in close and did a fairly decent mock whisper. "Brits maybe, magicks likely not." Not that they could advertise and find out.
