Summary: Bill takes Melinda on a picnic.

Bill had chosen the picnic for several reasons -- the chief being he could have relatively more private time than any of the other remaining dates. He'd been tempted by the champagne tasting, but he didn't want to have any associations with his ex, at least this time around. If it was still free later,perhaps, but for now he was content with a beautiful beach and this beautiful woman.

He simply looked at her for a long moment, knowing he was besotted and surprisingly, not upset about the fact at the least. He knew it wouldn't be all peaches and cream, or however the saying went, but he really liked her, really, truly cared for her, and he thought that maybe they could try to make it work past this time out from the world.

"At least it's warm this time, yes?" he said teasingly, holding out a piece of fruit for her.
