It was an instinct reaction on her part, when Angel caught sight of someone rising upward from their position on the ground just ahead of her. Her stepped slowed slightly, with her hand itching to feel the handle of her always carried, and concealed gun, as Angel continued in her approach of the other person. A fellow teen as far as she could discern of the girl in the distance.
That caught her instant attention, the words the other girl spoke, and the blunt ease with which she said them. I heard you coming. Not exactly a customary greeting, and Angel didn't think she had been walking loudly enough to have been heard by human ears.
"I don't scare easily." Angel returned softly, with a faux smile to the other girl. There was no apparent threat perceived from the other girl, which had Angel relaxing just a little bit, though most definitely still on the defense should the other girl decide to present herself as a possible threat to Angel herself.
