Malia stayed quiet for a few seconds as she gave Angel a more assessing look. Finally, she said, "Then I guess we're in the same boat, aren't we?" Taking a few steps back until she was at the spot she'd been sitting before, she resumed her place and looked up at Angel. It put her in a position of vulnerability somewhat but she didn't think she had anything to be afraid of. And while she truthfully wanted to be alone, a dismissal seemed rude, and she had been encouraged to be more friendly toward her peers. "You're welcome to stay. Or go. Whatever you want. I won't bother you."
