Budget. Right. Derek considered the state of his bank account after his recent furniture splurges. It was naturally a lot lower than usual, and he was reluctant to spend too much, but he didn't know how else to encourage the pack to spend time together. He was very much feeling out of his depth, and it was an uncomfortable place to be. Whatever helped make things easier had to be a good thing though.
"Definitely not more than a thousand," he decided, since he really wasn't sure how much this was going to cost. "Though I'd prefer not to spend that much unless we have to."
Stiles seemed to be more jittery than usual. Granted, Derek didn't know him and maybe this was normal for him, but it was odd. Derek decided to keep an eye on him and see if he could figure it out. They headed towards the large selection of televisions in the store and Derek was immediately bewildered by the sheer volume of choices and the technical details that distinguished one from another. This was why he had asked Stiles along. It was just so needlessly complicated.
