Stiles nodded in greeting once Derek was closer, hands fidgeting against his pockets now that his hands didn't have anything to hold onto. He briefly considered pulling his phone back out but Derek had asked for his help, so spending the afternoon pretending to talk to people on the phone just to avoid making actual conversation seemed like a jerk move.
He stopped walking once inside after noticing that Derek had paused, turning to regard him and raising both eyebrows. "Okay, first things first: what exactly is your budget here? Because starting with the TV is fine, but if you want anything else to go with that, we'll need to make sure you don't end up spending it all on just the box." Internally, there was a little bit of panic. Stiles had spent very little time around Derek in public as a whole, let alone just being the two of them: it was nerve wracking on several levels, because for all intents and purposes they were still strangers to each other, but it was also really hard to make himself focus on the task at hand. But he could do it. He'd gotten less obsessive about Lydia the last few years, a simple attraction to a werewolf should be a piece of cake.
