WHO: Hestia & Willow
WHEN: Monday Lunchtime
WHERE: a restaurant in Diagon
WHAT: mum drops some big news on her middle child
RATING: pg
Hestia had thought long and hard on this. When she was pregnant with the triplets, Isabella was the only one to tell. When she was pregnant with Willow and the twins, Isabella was the only one old enough to understand. When she was pregnant with Noah, Hestia had told Isabella and the triplets together. But now they were all old enough to know. And while it would be preferable to tell them all at once, it was not likely to get them all in the same room. So Hes had to make a choice. Who to tell first? Well, it came down to Willow. She was the middle child, generally overlooked by the chance of circumstance. Izzy was the oldest, the triplets had each other, Danny and Daphne were almost always ill and completely inseparable, and Noah had always been the baby. Willow was just the middle child, off by herself in an entirely separate category.
It was a little before noon when Hes showed up at Willow's flat. She managed the courtesy of knocking, but Willow knew she was coming, so Hestia just walked in. She assumed, and probably rightly so, that Willow was still in bed. "Will, honey, you ready for lunch?" Stupid question, yes, but Hestia wasn't going to come in and nag her daughter to get out of bed. Not directly anyway. Hes headed into Willow's kitchen and set to cleaning up. It was a mum thing, she couldn't help it. Besides, what else was she supposed to do while she waited for her daughter to get ready.
