Lucas liked that, because it meant they could all go at their own pace instead of having to follow along with everyone else. That just wasn't how people worked in reality.
"Saturday works! I'm going to be at speed dating, but just to watch. Since Dad needs to get there somehow!" He definitely hadn't told his dad yet, probably wouldn't until they were already on their way. Knowing his dad, he wouldn't try to pull out so close to starting on Mrs Darcy.
