It definitely took a lot for Molly to open up and talk about the parts of her past that really sucked. She didn't want to talk about things like her dead parents or being a hostage who even knew how many times, or the dozens of terrible things she'd been put through. She wasn't even sure her parents knew all of it, and she wasn't about to tell them anything they didn't. They'd only protect her harder than they already did.
"Hey, I liked the promposals. They were funny." And she liked that he'd liked her enough to keep asking even when she was saying no. "You could learn something from him about being fun, you know."
Neither of her dads were exactly what Molly would call fun. They were good in a lot of ways at a lot of things and she loved spending time with them anyway but they definitely were not fun guys.
