Lissa was a big fan of books and even though she bought several and had many at home, she loved going to the library. There was something very soothing about walking through the aisles with floor to almost-ceiling bookcases on each side of you. It was peaceful and grounding. The book stores were fun and she loved shopping, but she had a deep and abiding affection for the library. This was something that had always been a part of her -- no matter where she was. She could lose herself in the stacks for hours and it was not unusual to have someone end up showing up to pull her out of the stacks and out of the library. It was just something that she enjoyed doing -- and that didn't require her to short her sanity lifetime by using any of her Spirit powers. Plus if she disappeared when things were peaceful, those that were close to her would know where to find her. Today she had found herself wandering among the stacks in the poetry section. She enjoyed poetry but it had been quite some time since she had settled down with a full book of it and just allowed herself to get lost in the magic of it. Byron was one of her favorites, but right now she was leaning against the shelves and perusing the pages of a book full of the poetry of Dante Gabriel Rossetti. His poetry was raw and reached right into your heart and soul and yanked at it. She kind of loved that, to be honest. |
