With a spring in his step Jesse Tuck smiled softly as the immortal 17 year old strolled down the sidewalk; his gaze lazily drifting across the building fronts, taking in the sights as he whistled an almost ethereal melody to himself. Truth be told he had wandered the world far and wide for over two centuries now. Yet never before had he come across a place quite like Madison Valley. Oh he had felt a twinge of annoyance when he was first greeted by the welcoming committee, mostly because he wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of needing a guardian. After all Tuck had spent countless decades doing as he pleased. Traveling with his older brother at times, but never really needing a guardian to look after him. That fiercely independent streak bristled at the notion of being treated like a child. Still even Jesse found himself shocked when he was told just who his appointed guardian was to be. And that shock/bewilderment far outweighed the annoyance by far.
Just the thought of it; the fact that he was making his way towards the address Honest Abe Lincoln had provided...it had the young man nearly chuckling aloud. However in the end Tuck managed to rein it in, though that smile across his lips as he whistled the tune only grew with every step. On the surface this place seemed like so many other small towns he had wandered across during his travels. Yet there was no denying that something more, that something magical, was here as well. Sure he missed being back in rain forest of Colombia where he had just been, yet the chance to explore this town was far to good to pass up.
