Rowan didn’t even wait to see if Clint sent her a message back, turning her phone off and tossing it on her bag. She had been at the library, working on a few things for school, but now she knew her focus was shot. Though she wasn’t going back to the apartment, especially when Clint might be around, wanting to give him the silent treatment for a bit. Yes, she was angry at him and pissed, but it wasn’t even all for the reason she had him believe. Clint was sweet and good to her; however, now she felt like she was being judged once again. Her father had tried to throw out some of her research, feeling Rowan focus on it was unhealthy, and she saw the look on his face where he felt her obsession over it was disturbing. Her father hadn’t understood it cause he didn’t know everything, and Clint didn’t either only now she figured he’d fear her or think she was one step away from snapping.
The main reason she was angry was fearing for his safety and feeling the need to protect everyone from all of this. So far no one from thezoo was around or at least they weren’t sending her messages; however, that could all change. She protected her friends as much as she could, and she didn’t want anything to happen to Clint because of him wanting to know things. Ash knew things and she knew what came of all that. Gathering her stuff, she shoved her phone into her pocket, tossing everything into her bag before heading for the exit. Outside, she ran her fingers through her dark hair, biting her bottom lip while trying to decide what to do with her time since she’d go home late tonight, hopefully with Clint out or asleep. She knew she’d talk to him in a day or so, but right now she wanted to make him feel bad for not coming to her sooner. Make him sweat it out a bit. Only now that caused her with the need to find something to do, walking down the sidewalk, she pulled her bag up on her shoulder. Glancing at the stores as she passed, trying to find something to do with her time. Stopping in front of a clothing store, Rowan noticed the dresses. The idea of prom was something Rowan wanted to avoid. While the dresses weren’t bad or at least some of them weren’t, she wasn’t sure if she wanted to wear one. Though she could still look at them for a moment or two, especially when trying to kill a whole lot of time.
