Ian had been feeling down quite a bit this winter, and his runs with Erin had definitely helped, so when she said that she was having a bad day and thinking about Presto, he naturally tried to think of some way to help her. It wasn't much, but sugar usually helped people feel better, at least for a little while. So he stopped by the bakery and picked up a dozen doughnuts and some coffee on his way to work.

He entered the shop where Erin worked carrying the box of sweet treats and put them down on the counter. "Hey, I wasn't sure what you liked best, so I just got a variety. Do you like cream-filled? Their Boston creams are the best."
