Mercy ducked behind the garage with the small messenger bag strung cross body. She moved easily as she shucked her clothes, tucked them into the bag, then shifted. She shook the tingles of the change out of her limbs and shook the bag into a good place, before taking off running through town on all four legs.
She was a 45lb coyote, tawny in color, and moving with purpose. She had a bag, though, across her back, the longer strap caught in her teeth carefully. She paused as she got to an intersection, and sat down, tail thumping lazily as she waited for the light to change. Most people seemed to be used to her by now.
But someone smelled of wariness, and she looked up to see who it was, before giving them a canine grin. With a canvas bag strap in her mouth. It was comical at best.
