So I've heard rumors of a gym around here for training of a...slightly more intense variety. Who runs this thing, where is it, and how open is it to use? Logically I know we're not under immediate threats here but I'd rather stay in shape just the same.

With the holidays settling down, I'd like to get back to work if possible. I understand you're the best legal firm around. I don't have any of my qualifications from home here to back me but I did graduate cum laude from Columbia Law and your employee, Franklin Nelson, can back me up on that.

Would it be possible to consider placement within your firm? I know some of you may have surprise children wandering around right now, so I do understand if you need a bit of extra time to talk things over.

Well, we have Training Terrain, which is a magically altered obstacle course that can be tailored to specific needs and also offers weapons work for those more supernaturally inclined. There's also a couple regular gyms too. Terrain's open to anyone.

Oh, we're mostly used to random children arriving, it happens from time to time, so don't even worry about explaining. We all get it.

I'm Zatanna, I design the courses and make alterations as needed.

I'm so glad everyone seems to get used to these things without question because to me, that's still insanely weird. Don't get me wrong, happy to meet them and all. But weird.

Takes time but you really do get used to some aspects. There are some that still throw me and I've been here years.

A pleasure - magic user works for me. I do stage magic as a hobby and real magic as a career. From what I've seen every magic user tends to label themselves something different.

Honestly, as much as I can be tested. I do pretty thorough martial arts training back home and boxing more as a hobby than anything, really. And if there's parkour, that's a bit of a bonus. Not exactly rooftops to leap around here, and I feel like if I said that anywhere else, I'd be laughed out of the city.

Good to hear from you, Matt. As I told Foggy, I don't see how it'll be a problem. My only surprise child is a teenager, but seeing as I don't know when I'll get to see her again short of actually raising her until she's a teenager, I'd like to hold off on meeting with you until after the first of the year unless you absolutely need to meet with me sooner.

Excellent, good to hear from you. I can't imagine the offices are overly busy over the holidays and I can absolutely understand wanting to spend time with your daughter so by all means, take your time. I'm still finding my footing here anyway and I'm actually enjoying visiting with my nieces and nephew, too.

How many did you end up with? I've got... my daughter and a niece, my wife's best friend had his teenage daughter show up so I basically had another niece show up... I stopped trying to put it together, really. I've been here long enough that several people matter a good deal to me.

My stepson arrived, as well, completely separate from his -- he's actually an adult stuck here like the rest of us. The dome has apparently seen fit to completely shuffle my life again. It does this periodically.

Just the three. My one friend's son, my one friend's daughter, and then the one they apparently have together. I'm pretty grateful right now that I've been here all of a few weeks and barely know anyone so not too many can claim their Uncle Matt here.

So he's an actual new arrival and not the temporary new arrival sort? See, I'm getting the hang of this. Kind of.
