Valkyrie sat at the bar, a bottle she'd purchased in front of her. She'd had to fight a little to get the whole bottle. But she won after a few minutes and a few extra dollars thrown down for goodtimes and kudos. She was in black jeans, a tank top that left her arms bare to show off her Valkryie mark and her muscles. She really wasn't shy about herself. She did, however, dare anyone to try anything stupid with her.

She'd knock them into next week.

After a little but she plucked her bottle up and walked over to the pool table, setting the bottle down, capping it and grinning at the first sucker to step up onto to the challenge. She twirled her pool stick for a moment before racking the balls up, and proceeding to whoop the first idiot to try to beat her because she's a girl.

Then she leaned back against the table, looking up to see who was next.

It was his night off, and Spike had a bit of time to kill before his wife got off of work. So the bleach blonde vampire found himself sitting on his usual bar stool; sipping a cold pint, watching the soccer match on the television, and slowly picking at the basket of boneless hot wings. All things considered this was a tame life he led, compared to what the man had done for fun for over a century. Still truth be told, he found this quieter life to be quite enjoyable.

When the Manchester U match came to an end, and his favorite team lost, the vampire just sighed softly to himself. Those piercing blue eyes of his drifted across the bar as he lit up a fresh cigarette, just looking around to see what else was going on. It wasn't hard to spot the poor sucker at the pool table, losing his cash to the woman with the twirling pool cue. Wasn't hard to find the whole show far more entertaining than the sports talk show now playing on the screen.

After watching the guy lose, and lose bad, William finished off the last of his wings, grabbed his half finished beer, and strolled over to the table. "Looking for a decent game, luv?" It'd been a while since he had found a decent challenge at the table, and the prospect of finally have come across someone who could hold their own...that was enough to get the vamp off his bar stool. "A buck a ball to start sound friendly like and fair?"

	Valkyrie looked at the newcomer with a lifted brow. She smirked a bit then pushed her hair back and opened the bottle to take a long drink. She capped it again as she looked at him. Oh that smirk wasn't missed by any means, yet the vamp didn't say a word. Instead he just waited to see if she was down for a game, and when Valkyrie agreed Spike just nodded his head.

When the balls had been racked, and she posed the question, William just moved to line up a shot, and with a nearly thunderous break he winked at her as a few balls sunk into the pockets on the break. "I'll take stripes, luv."

Oh he had seen her play just a moment before, and knew she was likely to run the whole table if she had gotten the break. So while he was once a proper English gentleman...well Spike was also the sort who relished a bit of fun. And so he just began to play, starting to take shot after shot, as if he had been doing this for years. Which wasn't far from the truth at all.

She leaned on the table watching him get ready then break. She watched the balls sink into the pockets then put on her serious face. Determined to beat him. Maybe not this game but...

Valkyrie could have cheated if she wanted to, but she enjoyed the challenge more so. So she just watched him sink the balls into the pockets with a lifted brow.

He was good. He'd had time to really get a good game in his skills. That was fine, so had she after all. "Mhmm I think I'll be lucky to get a shot in" she replied with a smirk.

Based on what he had seen of her skills earlier Spike doubted either of em would earn much cash off each other. Already he was running the table, lining up each shot and knocking em in with methodical precision. There was no real trick or luck involved, though his inhuman agility and coordination didn't hurt things either. Nor did the fact that the vamp didn't need to breathe. He could literally remain perfectly still for hours on end, so shooting pool without having to worry that his aim might be off helped.

In just a few minutes the bleach blonde vampire had swept the table clean, yet instead of asking for the cash he merely re-racked the balls and took a step away to allow her to break this time around. Unless she had a run of bad luck, odds were that the woman too would just sweep this round.

As he looked on Spike grabbed a seat on the nearest stool, taking a slow drag on his cigarette in between sipping his beer. "Thinking the same is true for me this time around."

Valkyrie hadn't had a long time to learn the game, and she'd learned fast. It was handy being her, and having her abilities. She had played a little before but not enough to really get that good.

Now, though, she was on point. She couldn't go still, not like he could, but she could truly manage to be as still as possible otherwise. She smirked as he cleared the table, a light huff of her breath before she racked the next roumd.

And proceeded to clear the table. She was methodical, confident in her abilities but still checking her line ups and working to make sure she was doing things right.

"Maybe we should find a way to make this a little more.."

"A little more interesting...I was thinking the same thing. Still not really sure what ya had in mind, lass. Seems were a bit to well matched when it comes to pool. We could try our hand at darts, unless you had another idea?" There was no scowl at having lost the second match. After all it was amusing to play with someone who could handle themselves. And beat playing drunks and uncoordinated folks as well.

With another slow puff on his cigarette the vamp looked to the dart board for a moment, before turning his gaze back her way. If he hadn't already had plans to spend some time with his wife this evening, the bleach blonde vamp would've considered offering up a drinking contest since the woman seemed to be handling her drinking quite impressively. Yet he had no real interest and stumbling home drunk to Buffy on the off chance that he lost.

"If ya had some other skills I'd even be up for a quick rough and tumble in the alley for a bit. But maybe starting with darts would be the best bet, luv?"

She smirked a bit and laughed. "Yep that would be a good word for it. Honestly? No idea, I'm just out for a relaxing night off." she laughed a bit more as she set the pool cue against the table.

"Darts are certainly a good game. And I have fighting skills, I'm a Valkyrie after all." she grinned a bit, "but darts are good because I wasn't really feeling a fight tonight, to be honest with you."

And she'd drink him under the table and still be fine by the time he'd stumble home. Hazard of being Asgardian, getting drunk was damn near impossible.

Just hearing that she was simply out for relaxing night off had his smile warming, and the vamp nodded a little before speaking up. "Same here, luv. Don't get me wrong, I'd normally be game for a bit more fun..but sometimes it's just nice to take things easy, ya know?" After setting down his own pool stick Spike gestured for her to follow as he moved to the empty dart board.

With a handful of blue tipped darts offered over to her, he examined the red tipped ones in his own grasp for a second. Earnestly he wasn't sure what a Valkyrie was, beyond some old myths, and while it would've been funny to cheat and use that ring of his during a drinking content, since the gem of amara healed him instantly to the point where he couldn't even get buzzed...well it seemed like a bloody waste of perfectly good drinks.

"Darts it is. Let's skip the wager though, since I got a feeling this will turn out a bit like our pool matches." With a teasing wink he stood behind the painted line on the floor, chucked a single dart towards the board, and sunk it square center into the bulls eye.
