Han didn't know what to make of the town, lately. While it had looked more or less normal when he'd arrived (although quite unlike anything he was familiar with in Corellia), it had taken on a distinctly different appearance in the recent weeks. Colored lights were hung up everywhere, pictures of fat men in red suits and hats were on every window, and branches of trees seemed to have found themselves as decorations around every corner. And that wasn't even talking about the full-sized trees in every house.
Sure, he knew that they had a holiday coming up, some kind of celebration. He understood that much. He also knew that it was some sort of religious gobbledy-gook that he believed about as much as he believed in the Force. He guessed he just hadn't expected it to be such a big deal, and for the celebration to start way before the actual day - which was still two weeks off.
He shook his head as he ducked out of the cold into a store, rubbing his hands together quickly. This store, like so many of the others he'd gone into recently, was packed. There was barely any room to move around or browse, even if he'd wanted to. As fast as he'd come in, he stepped outside, taking a sharp breath of the cold air.
"Dammit," he cursed to the world around him. "Is there any place in this town that isn't packed with people?"
