Garin was a firm believer in showing appreciation through gifts, which was exactly why he was in Green Roof Treasures and poking around through everything they had. They had a lot of utter randomness, but it was also a lot of utter randomness involving highly interesting, highly pretty things. Considering that he had a "thanks for not scaring my house" gift to buy for Reileen, interesting and pretty was the way to go.

The house really did seem to like her, and he wasn't sure if that was because she was just that interesting to it or if Zee had keyed it to her and hadn't bothered to tell him -- which he wouldn't put past Zee, she was a sneaky little thing like that. Either way, the house seemed to like her, and that was worthy of a little celebration.

He stopped at a case, studying a necklace. It wasn't quite right, but it was a possibility. It was certainly a color she'd like, anyway.

Phryne was having an easy day of shopping and seeing if she needed to come up with anything to add to her second Halloween costume. You never knew what would come up during October and this place may end up having a second costume party.

She was looking for something very different, which was why she was in Green Roof Treasures to see if anything caught her eye. In the store, she found all kinds of things to examine and then smiled when she recognized another one of the customers browsing.

"Looking for anything in particular or just curious as to what has shown up?"

Garin laughed slightly. "Well, that first one in particular but I'm always curious about what's shown up," he said. "I don't think that you can shop here without having a certain amount of regular curiosity about the subject."

Fairly accurate logic there.

"I'm looking for a gift for... she's not my significant other, not exactly." Wherever you are, Rei, sheathe your claws. "But the relationship could be considered that. We're... interesting that way."

Fair enough.

"She's..." He thought about it for a second. "Complicated. Tricky. Possibly a little bit evil. Utterly brilliant." Not entirely unlike himself, and all reasons he adored her.

"So as you can imagine, not exactly the world's easiest woman to shop for."

And she was someone that he wouldn't buy just anything for, not the least reason of which was because he was pretty sure she'd cleverly find a way to gut him.

	He's something, alright. "She enjoys a good bottle of wine just as much as I do, for one thing," he said. "She... I think it's safe to say she enjoys danger, more or less. She's pretty much used to it." She's a female version of him in a lot of ways. "If it's jewelry, it's generally a necklace..." He was thinking now. (Reply to this) (Parent)
