I'm beginning to remember why I opted out of the teaching portion for residents.

If only it were that.

Sounds like you need a new job.

As I just changed jobs to teach, I suspect changing in a matter of months wouldn't be looked upon too highly.

Why'd you choose teaching? That's dumb.

Why do you think I opted out of teaching period? Except homeschooling but I don't really have to do that anymore.

It's a bit more fulfilling than selling essential oils and crystals, but not by much.

So not fulfilling at all?

Considering there are some students who still can't tell the difference between the circulatory and nervous systems? Yes.

I've only been here a short while, and I've been teaching an even shorter while, but I've already discovered that some students are brilliant and some of them are just a special kind of special.

And considering I teach subjects that are anything but easy, one would think that my classes wouldn't be burdened with an overabundance of the latter. Some days you'd be quite wrong.

I take it a "special kind of special" is a scientific term?

No, just an attempt at being polite about it that I borrowed from a... former friend. I'm not overall good at it otherwise.

I've had some mind-bogglingly unbelievable questions asked. As in, I can't believe someone's made it to college and actually asked them.

It's astounding the sort that is out there.

Some of us aren't useless, though.

Thankfully, no. There are some students willing to learn, which saves my sanity.

I do enjoy learning, for the most part.

What do you teach?

Anatomy and Biology. Easy subjects in my opinion.

I like science classes. They're interesting.

Do you know anything about mutants, science-wise?

Unfortunately, my expertise lies only with humans. Though I assume most mutants have similar anatomical structures. If not, most differences lie on a molecular level. I'm sure I could figure my way around one.

Ah. Well that's okay, I was merely curious.
