Who: Spike & Buffy
What: A proper date night
Where: Waterdeep, Portal (the City of the Dead)
When: Backdated to Friday night
Warning: TBD (possible violence)
Moonlight and the glow of the candles bathed the two figures in soft illumination. His smile so bright, and those blue eyes of his brighter still, as the bleach blonde vampire just took a moment to gaze over at his blindfolded companion. Oh he was a romantic at heart, a long since dead English poet given unlife, and as his smile grew the man softly spoke up at last. "You can take the silk blindfold off, luv. We're here at last." Most people would have selected a different setting for a date, but Spike wasn't most people at all. Nor was she by any means either. Of course William could have selected any number of far more suitable spots to spend an evening in Buffy's company, however this place seemed perfect for them both. There in the City of the Dead; one of the largest graveyards he had ever seen, the vamp had laid out a picnic for them to enjoy. Delicious exotic foods, a bottle of exquisite cherry and honey wine, and candles had been lovingly placed upon the blanket. Yet beside them as well sat his black duffel bag too.
Spike let go of Buffy's hand that he had been holding to guide her there, immediately missing the warmth of her touch, and teasingly winked at her as he took a seat upon the blanket. With care he slowly filled a goblet and when that was done he offered her it before speaking up once again. "I know things have been good of late, pet. Hell just spending time with you these last few weeks has been; well they've been some of the best sodding moments of my entire unlife. Still I figured if I was going to take you out, well I wanted to treat my girl to a night she really would love. So..." That mischievous look spread across William's face as he leaned over to the duffel bag, and once it was unzipped the man started to pull out the gifts he had gotten for her. One by one he carefully retrieved the weapons; two beautiful battle axes, a finely crafted elvish sword, an elegant looking crossbow, and even a matching pair of silver daggers as well.
When all of them were laid out onto the edge of the blanket Spike chuckled at last, patting the empty space on the picnic blanket beside him and gesturing for her to join him. "Figured we'd have a lovely meal, savor this sweet wine, then you and I would go slay the undead wandering round this place. Got word that the City Watch was having some problems with the numbers of baddies swelling of late. So what better way to blow off some steam, and to have some fun, then for us to lend a hand." She was radiant beyond measure; having been so patient and compassionate with him ever since he arrived in Madison Valley. However the lack of slaying was bound to be getting to her, especially since there was little for a Slayer to do in that place on a regular basis. So instead of taking Buffy out to a fancy restaurant, or even going for a moonlit stroll, the vamp thought a picnic and a bit of combat would be just the thing to hit the spot. "And before you ask or wonder, I didn't knick any of this stuff. Paid for it proper like, with the coin I earned killing beasties in the bloody Underdark. Wanted this to be special, and wanted to get it just right...cause that's what you deserve, luv."
