Who: Kristof Nast and OTA
What: Running errands
When: Friday afternoon
Where: Walmart
Warnings: TBA
Status: Open/On-going

There wasn't a time he set foot in Walmart that Kristof didn't at least fleetingly think about how the mere fact that he was in the store in the first place would give most of his family heart palpitations. Almost entirely across the board, save for his kids. And he definitely wasn't surprised by that reaction -- he had been a bit of a snob, alright more than a bit of one, for his entire life up til the past few years. And even now he was when it came to some things. But he'd mellowed. Having a kid had helped with that, for one thing. Having his family in general had helped, for another.

Things had started getting weird again in town, and he was admittedly hanging out in Walmart for a little while longer than he needed to -- largely until he figured out who of his loved ones was affected and who wasn't. Because this particular brand of strange? Was kind of hit or miss on how it affected people, if he remembered right.

And hey, it was an excuse to stand there and stare at the ice cream for a while. Who didn't like that? Even if he'd have to share at home.

He was reaching for one of the freezer doors at the same time as someone else; he pulled his hand back. "Sorry about that," he said with a slight smile.

For Sonja that she was glad that she wasn't affected by the plot. She was also glad that Dimitri wasn't in town, since she wouldn't know how to cope if he or Rose was affected by all of this. However, people she knew in town -- people she considered friends were affected by this. Though only one thing could rectify that and that was ice cream.

Well, Sonja needed to get other groceries, but Natalia considered ice-cream to be the top priority as they went through Walmart. But when they got to the section in question, Natalia thought she saw someone whom she thought was familiar. So, she had to say hi. That and maybe try to sneak some ice cream too.

"Hi Toff," she told the gentleman, especially since she couldn't pronounce the word Kristof that well. And if it was a stranger, Natalia would still be keen to strike up a conversation.

Kristof just laughed. "Hi, little one," he said with a fond smile. He'd known them since the girl was a tiny little thing -- not that she wasn't still, but even so -- and their families shared a nanny; it was impossible to not say hello.

"How've you been?" he asked Sonja. "I haven't seen you around much lately." He'd heard about Natalia a bit, though, in the course of interacting with K-Mart. "Oh, and I heard from K-Mart, she didn't get whammied with whatever this is."

Indeed, Natalia was growing like a weed and it seemed as if the two and a half years of her life just flew by way too fast. The. Again, Natalia also associated Kristofas Wyatt’s dad. “I’ve just been busy work, unfortunately. Especially since flu season ending and allergy season just starting up with all the pollen. Thankfully, the two of us are doing well though,” she told Kristof with a reassuring smile, “hopefully all of you are doing okay.”

And then she heard the best news possible. Besides, she didn’t know if she would be able to balance work and her personal life without K-Mart. “That is such a relief to hear. Especially since it seems like so many people did get hit by the dome being its typical self.”

"We're doing good," he assured the young woman. "And it is a relief, isn't it? She's a godsend."

He shook his head. "This place... at least this is one of the tamer things it could do to us. We've both seen it do some more... out there things. Painful things."

It was the truth.

"She really is just that. I swear sometimes Natalia associates her as an aunt or something of the sort," she told Kristof with a bit of a smile. She really didn't know what she would do if K-Mart wasn't around.

"It really is. And trust me, in the almost three years I've been in town, I'm sure we've both seen how sadistic the dome can be when it wants to be."
