Who: Henrietta Marchen and Leia Organa
When: Wednesday Morning
Where: Madison Valley Coffee and Tea Co.
What: Match-Up!
Warnings: Two fiesty ladies? Who knows!
Status: Closed/In-Progress

Madison Valley was quite the anomaly in Henry's opinion. There were people who had slight relations to the fairy tales she knew of back home. There were even people who were the literal tale. All of which would have set off alarms and sent dispatch in a frenzy back home. Here, it was quiet. It was the norm.

James Holden had made an interesting point the other day to her. These things didn't happen here, so why wasn't Henry happy? Why was she more worried and concerned?

She wanted her team here now more than ever. Jeff would keep her calm and assure her if things weren't alright. Sloan would tell her to calm the fuck down and get a grip. They were fitted to know whether the concern was necessary or not. Henry was as well to a degree, but not like Sloan and Jeff.

While most people flocked to Starbucks, Henry had found comfort in the local coffee and tea place. The brew was better and most of the food was made in front of her, which was a comfort. What was not a comfort was nearly colliding with a woman due to Henry's own negligence to watch where she was doing rather than mess with her phone.

"Sorry! Sorry. Are you alright?"

Leia had found that one of the best things about being here was definitely coffee. It was incredible how many places here had been set up purely to serve coffee and tea and offer small snacks along with the drinks. It was certainly a booming business and one she was happy to support.

As she stood in the line deciding whether to stick with a preferred choice or try something new she was jostled by a woman behind her, leaning on her stick she kept her balance easily, "I'm fine, no harm done" Leia assured her with a smile, "Are you alright?"

"Aside from the guilt of running into you? I'm good." Which was true. Henry was perfectly capable of functioning on her own, but there were little things that the other members of her team took care of. Like making sure she didn't go careening into others while reading messages and such on her phone.

"Morning coffee? I know I can't survive without it." Henry practically lived off of it, which probably wasn't all that healthy. There were worse ways to go, though.

"Oh please don't feel guilty for that" Leia said, not wanting her to feel bad for it. They were both okay so it worked out fine. She wasn't exactly going to hold it against the woman, it hadn't been done with malicious intent after all.

"Yes, I'm afraid it's become a necessity since I arrived here" Leia admitted, probably not the best for her but life was too short not to take the small pleasures where you could.

"Don't worry. I pretty much live off of it myself. I can't remember a time when I didn't drink coffee." Which was true. Her team pretty much lived off of it prepared in a variety of ways.

"Extra strong with four sugars is how I drink mine. A friend from home tried to cut my sugar in half once. It didn't end well." It was like trying to cut off someone from coffee itself among other things.

"I'm Henry," she finally offered.

"I only discovered it after my arrival but I already know I could not be without it now" Leia smiled, she rather enjoyed trying the multitude of flavours and ways of preparing it too. She had a feeling that could last a long time with the various combinations.

Leia laughed, "I am rather fond of the latte, with added vanilla" That was a particular favourite.

"Leia" she replied holding out her hand, "It's nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you as well." It was nice to have a pleasant conversation. To not have to be on constant alert. Henry was still careful, though. Even if the narratives wouldn't be a threat, she didn't want to put anyone in danger.

"So, you didn't have coffee before coming here? At all?"

Meeting new and interesting people was one of the things Leia liked most about this strange place. She found others stories fascinating.

"We have a beverage called caf which was similar though it was more bitter than most of the coffee here, and there was certainly not the variety"

"Caf? And no variety? Well, I'm guessing this is a treat for you, then." Because the idea of living without variety or options to make said caf drink? Henry could only imagine how miserable and grumpy they would all be.

"Let me pick up your coffee for you," she offered with a small grin.

"It most certainly is and one I like indulging in" Leia smiled, it was certainly one of the things that was easy to adapt to. The variety of food was also very welcome, Leia couldn't help smiling every time Poe told her about a new food item he had discovered.

"Oh, that's so kind of you Henry. Thank you" Leia said, the kindness and generosity of strangers was something Leia liked the most about Madison. Other than the coffee.

"No problem." Being kind even when Henry wasn't trying was just part of being an almost Snow White and her narrative. Sometimes it was helpful. Other times, it was a pain in the ass.

Stepping up to the counter, Henry made sure to let Leia made her order first before giving her own to the barista. It was nice to be able to share the love of coffee and caffeine with others. Especially when they weren't someone Henry had to be cautious around.

[wrap here? :D]
