She didn't know who she was. Since the morning the memories went away she had been sitting in the park in the grass and slowly pieces of herself had been falling away as she communed with the welcoming Green. Her skin had split and dropped away leaving her body of tough greenery showing and drinking in the sunlight. Her fingers had burrowed into the soil like roots and while she didn't move from where she was sitting her bright red eyes watched everything going on around her.
The Green welcomed her, told her she was home but there was still the call of something else. Something she'd forgotten. That was why she watched the creatures around her made of flesh and blood. Somehow they were important to her too but she didn't know why.
The puzzle kept her from slipping completely into the Green. Or maybe it was just that she really didn't belong in the green completely and so she couldn't get in. She didn't know the answer. But like any plant she was patient. Things could and did take seasons to accomplish when you were a plant so she continued to sit there patiently with her white hair a shocking contrast to the woody green material of her body in the sun.
