I've got about another week or two in me and I'm done with it, I think, and I'm from this kind of cold. It's bullshit to deal with when you've got a toddler.

Yeah, but Katie always wants to go outside, and we can't let her go as much as she wants. Plus she's still so young that it's easier for her to get sick.

It was worse when she was a baby, though. That was not my favorite of winters, always trying to make sure she was warm enough and remembering to put a blanket over the carier before we took her from the car to any building or from any building to the car.

I don't like it much either. I don't want it to get as hot as where I grew up, but a little warmer would be good.

It was weird to me too for a while. I got enough of it as an adult not to be shocked here, but I do know where you're coming from.
