Glad to see she was happy to see him, he gave her a quick side-hug. "I know you're not an Alchemist anymore, at least in our terms of the word. I don't think I like them very much, though. Not after making such a fuss over you - what they did was so evil, and awful. I don't care if they're the people that clean up after my world's messes with the Strigoi. They're severely effed up."
He yawned a little bit. He wasn't used to being awake at this hour but he needed to get stuff and this is when the stores were open, so he bit the bullet and braved the sun's rays to come here. It was worth noting he was wearing dark sunglasses - he probably looked like the biggest douche ever but it was mainly for the protection of his sensitive Moroi eyes. Everything was so bright but the glasses helped tone it all down.
"I know his Alchemy is different. Not sure how it works exactly but he says he lost his actual body in an accident and somebody essentially saved his life by attaching his soul to a suit of armor - kind of like how the Moroi in our world can charm silver stakes. But I don't think it has anything to do with magic. Anyway, he says he got his body back just before he came here a few months ago and he's been getting used to eating things again. They got him back by using their alchemy to recreate a copy of his body from when he lost it in the accident. I'm not sure how but it was fascinating."
Shaking his head at her, his lips twitched into a lopsided grin. "Remind me to never make that while I'm here or people might have to actually fight over me. And you know I'm so very against violence," he added sarcastically. Sydney likely knew that wasn't one-hundred percent true about Christian. He wasn't a violent guy without good reason, but he could kick some serious ass when the need called for it.
"I'm thinking of getting a recipe book of sorts. Not one of the fancy ones, but like a binder with notebook paper that looks generic enough but still has some style to it. Something big so I have enough room to write everything down, too. Honestly not a fan of those index cards. They're small and infuriating to write on."
