Harry was smiling as he slipped away from his house, heading for Hinkles and a much-deserved break with a sexy young woman. Mind you, she seemed a lot more...teasing than Sybil. He figured there would be flirting and that would be all. Which was fine with him. What guy his age said no to hanging out with a pretty girl? None who were smart, that is who.

Stepping into Hinkles, he smiled as he glanced around. Life in Madison was fun. Six months in, he had settled in and even inherited a business recently. It was nice to be on his own two feet, even if he missed Ebenezar and the farm. He knew he would have been leaving it, anyway, soon. The old man had been dropping hints about it before he left and once the old man made up his mind, Harry had no choice.

Today should be fun, though and he smiled as he looked for the pretty woman.

Cassie was pretty sure her dad wasn't going to be happy with her for flirting with one of his friends but it wasn't going to go anywhere so she didn't see too much harm in it. It was practice, basically, and Harry was a nice guy. They'd become good friends over the years so she hoped he wouldn't be too mad or weirded out when they got put back to their normal ages.

She pushed open the door to Hinkles and it was a little weird to not be there for her shift. Waitressing was a part time gig on top of her school work, and her shifts never interfered with school because that was the deal she'd struck with her parents when it first came up. It was nice having her own money in her pocket though, and that was worth the handful of hours she worked every week. Having a break was nice and so was catching up with Harry.

Cassie slid into her usual booth and not a minute later she saw Harry walking through the door. She grinned widely and waved him over. This was definitely going to be fun. "Hey there, friend," she greeted warmly.

	"Hey, there, beautiful." He smiled as he slid into the booth opposite her, checking her out, but only a little. After all, more than that would be rude. Definitely so much trouble. It was going to be worth it though, her grin matching his after a moment. Cassie didn't miss him checking her out so she did the same. Damn, he was hot. It was kind of sucky that he was off limits, being her dad's friend and all. This was going to be so worth it as far as she was concerned.

"Oh, it's been alright. I feel like it's about to get a lot more interesting though," Cassie admitted with a flirtatious smile. The waitress came over to take their order and she picked her usual - a thick chocolate shake and the largest order of fries they could charge her for. She waited for him to order too before asking, "So what's the deal with you and Sybil?"

He smirked at her as he watched her. She was trouble, he knew it. Good thing he liked trouble. He was so going to enjoy this.

"Oh yeah" He ordered a burger, fries, and a Coka Cola, and sat back as the waitress left.

"Sybil? Well, I just met her, she's hot, and she's an older woman. Other than that, I don't know what you mean by the deal?" It didn't seem kosher to tell this young woman that he thought he might score with the older one, later that night.

"I'd much rather learn more about you, right now. What do you do around town? And how the heck did I miss you?"

She knew the two danced around each other some when Harry was his normal age, but if that wasn't the case now, well there wasn't any harm in it. Cassie just shrugged. "Just wondering, is all," she replied, waving it off as totally not important. Mostly because it wasn't.

"Well, I'm finishing up my last year of high school and I waitress part time, but I'm on vacation this week, I guess you could say. I'm an artist, too. It'll be time for real art classes and all come fall." She'd already been accepted into the community college provided her grades stayed on track. There wasn't a chance in hell her parents would let them get off track, so she wasn't worried.

"What about you?"

	"That sounds pretty cool. And congrats on the art classes." he was impressed. He could do ink drawings very well, but nothing else. "Me? I'm headed to college in January to study physics to help with my magic." He smiled, excited, really. "Going to double major with P.E., and go for a doctorate in physics." He had plans! "Thanks," she replied, unable to hide the slight blush that colored her cheeks at the compliment. She still wasn't really dating, sticking more around the adults in her life and on the outskirts of town. She'd come a long way from when she'd first arrived in Madison, but there wasn't a whole lot of trust to go around as far as she was concerned. Since she already trusted adult Harry, it was pretty easy to trust him at 18.

"It's too bad you're waiting until the spring semester. We could've coordinated a bit on our fall classes, knock out some of those gen ed requirements together." They could do that in the spring for sure, but that felt so long from now. She was looking forward to her classes too, even if some of them were just going to be taken because they were required.

He flushed. "I didn't get to register until too late. Got caught up chasing down a lead for one of the townsfolk, and in rewriting an old magic spell, and before I knew it, I had blown past the deadlines." Oops!

"I would've enjoyed taking those classes with you. Maybe we still will." He grinned at her.

"We can study together!" And oddly enough, while he thought making out with her in those study sessions might be fun, too, he also, genuinely, wanted to study with her.

Cassie couldn't help grinning, but she did manage to stop from laughing at him. It was more because he'd gotten so wrapped up in work that he'd forgotten about registering for classes, which seemed silly but she also totally understood how it had happened. Harry did sometimes get wrapped up in work.

"You just need someone to remind you. I'll make sure you don't forget spring semester," she promised, even though it was probably going to be irrelevant once they got back to normal. Cassie knew just how unpredictable Madison Valley could be and she wouldn't mind if he was stuck as a teenager longer, especially if she was the same age as he was.

The waitress brought over their food and after she thanked the woman, she turned to Harry. "We can study together, but only if we can do it over fries and milkshakes." Cassie considered another point as she munched on a fry. "And you have to walk me home after."

he smiled at her, and raised an eyebrow. "You'll remind me, huh? I look forward to finding out how you will do so." He could definitely look forward to that. Even if his mind was totally in the impossible gutter at that moment.

Harry eagerly grabbed his food, and took a bite of the burger, mmmming at it, before chewing and swallowing to answer her. "I can deal with that. Both parts. Eating and studying go together, in my opinion. And walking you home is just cream on top." She was hot and wanted him to walk her home? Sweet!

"Heck, I can even walk you home today, if you like."

"I've got a couple of months to be creative," she teased. It was kind of great how easy it was to talk to him. She was definitely going to seek him out once she was back in her time just to have a better friendship with him. For now, she was going to see where things went.

Cassie grinned when he said walking her home was like the cherry on top. He was a little silly, but she could tell he meant it. There was a reason he was friends with her dad, after all. Somehow, the fries tasted better today but she had a feeling that was just the company.

"I suppose I could let you walk me home today, too. If you're really that keen on it." She should be alright. Her dad wasn't usually home until later in the afternoon, so this would just be their secret for now. Nothing would ever be a secret for very long, not from her parents, but Cassie had long since gotten used to that.

Harry grinned slowly. "You know? I am looking forward to seeing exactly how creative you can get." A little flirting never hurt, right? Right. She was awesome and hot.

"Why wouldn't I be? Walking a friend home is what nice guys are supposed to do, right?" He gave her the wide and innocent-looking eyes, glad he had the veil that kept the soulgaze from happening working today. That would be embarrassing.

Cassie just smirked, promising he'd very much enjoy the way she was going to remind him. There definitely wasn't any reason why she couldn't flirt. There was a pretty good chance that she wasn't going to need to get creative, but that didn't matter.

"That's what friends do," she agreed, and even though she had some perfectly good fries in front of her, she reached across the table to pluck one of the fries off his plate. Because she was a cheeky, unpredictable young woman and he'd do well to remember that.

The longer this went on, the more he liked this. All of this.

He laughed when she took one of his fries and just to make sure she didn't think he was too predictable, he spoke a soft word, and twitched a finger and just for a second, she would feel a tug, and then her bra, completely clean and warm as if it had been washed and dried, was sitting next to her on the booth seat.

Without looking up, he grabbed a fry and bit into it, grinning. "I like being friends."

Cassie was happily munching on her fry when she felt the tug and then in the next moment, her bra was beside her. She glared at him, but the smile was definitely underneath that look. "I'd put that back if I were you," she warned. "I am my mother's daughter after all." And while she might not be able to murder someone with her pinky finger, she could definitely kick some ass. Specifically his, if he didn't put her bra back on her body.

	Harry grinned at her. "Okay, okay. Sorry." Another string of words and a gesture, and she would feel, well, warm from the dryer bra, slipping on her, and then connecting, as if by invisible hands. Cassie just arched her eyebrow higher until his magic was done and her bra was back on. She could feel it, but she pulled the front of her shirt forward just enough to sneak a peek to confirm that it was actually on. Then she flashed a grin at him.

"You're lucky you're cute," she informed him, and then went back to eating her fries. This was definitely going to be a fun week or so, for however long this lasted.
