For Kit, he couldn’t believe that it was almost August, which meant that their child. Their son, would be arriving in September and sometimes Kit had felt a bit overwhelmed. Not that he’d ever admit it.

But right now, he was looking at some teddy bears, unsure as to which one to get. So, he decided to ask for someone’s opinion.

“Which one do you like?”

Sonya didn't have Cassie with her. In the insanity of the past few days, she'd forgot about her birthday.

She was in the shop looking for some toys when she saw Kit. Her throat tightened and she tried to make it by him without him noticing-then he actually spoke to her.

Dammit.

Unable to find a reason to pull away, she actually allowed herself to look at the options.

"Small one with the brown first." She motioned to the one she suggested. The design was plain, with no ribbon, but atleast they wouldn't have to worry about choking hazards.

	"She probably could. But given her life she was accustomed to doing plenty of work as a child. And I'd like to think that she enjoys making a difference," he told her, "she's doing well though. "Tell her to be careful." It was easier to use a firm voice to keep back her other emotions. "Eight months should be safe, but the last thing she'd want his premature labor."

Ella would know her own body of course, but better safe than sorry. "I did a lot of work as a girl too," But it was hardly by choice. "Mom's health was..never the best."

She frowned and shook her head. "Cassie's birthday is in four days. I'm getting some presents and decorations for the party."
