Jenny had been warned once, one quasi-immortal to another, not to go too long without sleep. Sure, it was easy. She could nearly argue her body didn't necessarily require it. But she couldn't recall her last sleep before arriving, and she hadn't slept since. Now that warning from Jack Harkness in a wee, small hour was creeping back to her. You'll hear things, Jenny. See them too. Trust me, make yourself sleep on some sort of schedule.
For a moment or several, she looked for Jack, peering around the dark corners, half-expecting him to jump out with his usual smile and hit-on hello. But he wasn't there. Of course he wasn't there. Her mind was exhausted and playing games. She wished she could lull it into a game of tetris and perhaps convince herself that sleep wasn't an awful idea, but it was a bit far gone for that. She started to see stars. Not silly cartoon stars, no. Proper stars, so real she believed she could be on-board a ship. But the stars were dying - a sign from her mind that she needed to rest and quickly before she burned up just like them.
She didn't believe she was hallucinating. No. She wouldn't have let it get this bad. Surely not. The warrior programming would've kicked in to prevent this... weakness, surely. She only knew one person who could create stars from nothing. Didn't the stories say he could appear when called? She tried to remember, but her head was beginning to ache. "Merlin?" she called, albeit weaker than she intended.
