She took the handkerchief gratefully, giving his hand a squeeze in thanks. He was truly too good to her and she did not deserve such a friend. "You did everything in your power," Ella assured him. That was what mattered to her, though she probably could take her own advice in that regard. She still blamed herself fiercely for Molly's capture.
"Do you know how Lady Molly fares?" she asked tentatively. She was nearly terrified of it, of the answer and if perhaps the teenager had already declared she would not speak to her ever again. Perhaps Captain Rogers and Sergeant Barnes had forbidden it. Ella would understand of course, even if it was to be the last time she ever saw Thor. How could he possibly choose her over his friends?
