Early Evening
Ella had been halfway to standing when Wanda walked in, but gratefully sat back down at her friend's insistence. She had barely moved from her spot on the couch save for a few trips to the bathroom, content to stay where she was comfortable. She'd wrapped herself in a blanket as the evening came and though she typically would have been getting dinner ready at this time, the thought of food hadn't crossed her mind even once.
"I am glad to see you as well, Wanda," Ella replied, returning the hug a little too tightly and for maybe a few moments longer than was allowed by convention. Noticing the bag on the coffee table, she looked to her friend with a tired smile. "How was your day at the Creamery?" she asked, wanting to know that Wanda hadn't disrupted her life because of Ella's foolishness.
