She was Dreaming too much. She knew that was the case because she rarely went out if it wasn't for groceries or classes and that wasn't any way to live. If she wasn't careful, it would become all that much worse, and the Dreaming wasn't even the same without Arthur by her side anyway. She wasn't even just thinking of that because of the sex. There was still so much for her to learn and she would have preferred to be shown and taught instead of stumbling around in the dark as she felt like she had been lately. It was possibly unfair to think as much, but she wanted to be challenged in some way and that wasn't happening at the moment.
Since the weather was nice, Ariadne forced herself out of the apartment, though she wasn't even sure where to go. Wandering around town seemed to be the only thing to do, so she stopped at Hinkles for a chocolate milkshake and just walked around for a bit. It was a nice enough place to live and it did remind her a good bit of where she'd grown up. Ariadne just wished that it could be a place to come to by choice. Not that she would have chosen to be in Madison Valley, but it was starting to get under her skin a bit. The fact that she could leave. She fingered the bishop piece in her coat pocket to remind herself that it wasn't a dream. She was here and she was stuck, and that meant making the best of it.
"I liked it better when things weren't so complicated," she muttered, mostly to herself.
