Hermione woke up with her alarm just a few minutes before midnight. If she and Oz were going to use the time turner to spend a good chunk of time together on Valentine's Day, just the two of them, without having to worry about their jobs, then she wasn't going to leave it up to chance. She hadn't yet used her time turner to replay 8+ hours, let alone more than 2-3 hours. Madison Valley had a tendency of taking something and spinning it out of proportion. The last thing she needed was for something like that to happen to her now, so a test run was in order.
She figured that the previous day would be a good way to start. Ten hours should be more than plenty, she thought, since she wasn't sure she and Oz would use up much more time than that. Her conversations on the network made her feel more confident about her plan, although the suggestions about sex threw her off a little. The last thing she wanted to do was pressure him into something he wasn't ready for and she wasn't sure if she was ready for it either. Things were going pretty well between them. There wasn't any point in shaking that up until it was something they'd both agreed on together. Just spending time with him was more than enough.
She set the time turner and glanced at the clock to make sure it was exactly midnight. She'd purposefully avoided her home for the first four hours of the time she'd be repeating so that she could have time to herself before gathering whatever it was she wanted to do in the evening. Hermione set the time turner going as soon as her clock read midnight and watched as the hours flew by. The barest of ripples in the magic hit her, but she didn't even notice. Magic, as it always had, captured her attention fully.
