With Eleanor's arrival, Jane decided it was time for another shopping trip to spoil the two little girls. She had yet to meet baby FitzSimmons, but she was working under the hypothesis that she'd love Eleanor at least more than she liked regular babies because Jemma and Fitz were friends. Apparently, that made a difference when it came to the opinions on babies. Walmart was the only place she could go, so she grabbed a cart and went straight for the baby clothes aisle. There were always so many options, so Jane just went row by row and picked out everything she thought was good for either baby into the cart, with things for Stephanie (red, white and blue) on one end and Eleanor (science themed and/or green) on the other.
There were clothes, bibs, towels, socks, all sorts of things. Once she was satisfied that she'd picked over all the clothes, she moved to the toys. That was much harder to decide what to get, because really, everything seemed appropriate. Jane carefully looked over every box, took into account the recommended ages and the potential educational benefits to each. Ultimately, she had three piles of toys - one for Steph, one for Eleanore, and one that could be for both of them.
"Okay. That should be enough. Maybe. Is it too early for books? I should probably check out the books, too. And DVDs. They're going to need the princess movies and some educational stuff," she said to herself, surveying the cart and the items she'd gathered so far. "No, it's definitely not enough." It was a good thing she didn't really spend her money on much, because now she was spending a lot of money on her friends and their babies.
