WHO Cassie Holmes & Nick Gant WHAT Cassie's Seeing a future she doesn't like WHEN Friday afternoon, after school WHERE Their Place WARNINGS Language, feels STATUS Closed | Incomplete
Cassie'd been drawing her and Nick and trouble since she'd met Suit. It wasn't fair because she hadn't done anything wrong. All she'd done was follow the things she'd Seen and it brought her to someone who was so the opposite of Division he was basically her and Nick. Never mind the fact that she couldn't See Division at all and hadn't been able to since they'd arrived. All she did at school was try to See Division or anything else for that matter. All she got were some green guy in purple pants, a woman who loved stars, and a family made up of a flag guy, a robot, and a girl who was probably close to her age. And then she'd Seen the stuff that led her to Coulson, and Nick got all yelly.
That was such bullshit too, which she told him, but no. He didn't trust her to be careful around Pushers or anyone else for that matter. Cassie got mad and ignored him as much as possible. Except this time, she couldn't draw her and Nick on the same page, literally. It wasn't possible. Sometimes, she'd draw them on opposite ends of her notebook and that terrified her. She was so scared of losing him that when she started to See and draw someone who looked like Kira with a baby, she freaked out.
So that was the future. Nick was going to get the girl and have a family, and completely drop her. It wasn't even changing, and that scared her the most. When she got dismissed for the long weekend from school, Cassie made a beeline for the apartment in the hopes that Nick was out. She just wanted to grab a wad of cash and dump her stupid school supplies before heading out again so that she'd have to see as little of him as possible. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite that lucky.
"What are you doing home?" Cassie mentally kicked herself because this wasn't supposed to be home. It was just the place they were staying.
