If you've thought out your feelings on your law, and can defend them, then you're entitled to them. A lot of people don't do that; they believe whatever their mother, father, pastor, or other authority figure tells them. I would agree that some things are relative: What it takes to survive in an agrarian society is different than an industrial one. Some things aren't, though.
It is peculiar.
Subsist on take-out means live on restaurant food, essentially. Some people still hunt now, but in my time nobody would eat hunted meat: It's infected.
