Nico sat on a picnic table in the small park near the school, swinging his legs over the side. It was a nice day, but Nico didn't really care about it one way or another. He didn't care about anything, really. It was a strange feeling. He knew what had happened, of course. When he'd asked the fairy lady to make him stop hurting, she'd done so - by taking all of his emotions away. All of them. Every last one. He might have been angry if he could feel enough to be so, but he couldn't. So he just sat. Thinking. And feeling nothing.
Something that he knew would upset him, had he the capability to be upset, was that he couldn't get his powers to work very well. He could shadow travel a little, and he knew he was still a little creepy, but the big things? Well, he just couldn't get them to happen, no matter what he did. It was weird. And in a part of him that remembered what it was like to feel, he knew he should be panicking.
But...he wasn't.
After a few moments, he got up, put his backpack over his shoulder, and headed in the direction of Harry's apartment. Did it feel good not to hurt anymore? He didn't know. What did good feel like? He didn't feel bad, at least, and if he remembered correctly, he'd felt pretty bad before. So this was better?
He sighed, letting that train of thought go. It was too confusing for him at the moment.
As he walked, he tried to skip a little. He wasn't sure why. It was just...was it fun? Who knew. It would certainly be good for him to get exercise, though. Just like it was good for him to eat. And pay attention in class. And not get frustrated that he couldn't read the board.
Yes, all in all, this seemed a good thing for him, in the long run.
