Diana was tired of hiding, of having to avoid people because she wasn't where she was supposed to be or doing what she was supposed to be. About the only thing she was grateful for at the moment was the fact that Cassie was with her and seemed to be just as frustrated as she was.
At the moment, Diana sat in the middle of the floor with her eyes closed. She wasn't meditating, exactly, she was just... trying to wrap her brain around the complete and utter insanity of the place she'd found herself in. She wasn't at all happy to be in Madison Valley, not in the least. She would much, much rather be back home -- even if back home meant running from her dark magic and trying to pretend she wasn't the child of an evil man.
Not that she wasn't running here, as well, but it was... different somehow. She had more to run from -- different things. Things like um, hello, she wasn't going to live with people she didn't know and didn't trust as far as she could throw them. It was almost a relief to have a worry that wasn't magic-related. But at the same time, she'd much rather not have any worries at all. Which... she was pretty sure meant she didn't even really want to be back home.
Damn it, this was enough to give her a headache beyond the one she already had.
