Kenzi had even come into work early to put up decorations in red and white. There were maple leafs everywhere, some beavers and mooses and red and white lights too. This year Kenzi was in a red corset and white pants and a red and white wig round out her outfit. She also put together a few Canadian-themed drinks that people could order. (there were some mocktails too!). Also this year they were serving poutine. Good poutine, not bad poutine. The sort that would make any Canadian proud.

Kenzi was in full swing to celebrate Canada Day. It didn’t matter to her that there wasn’t an official day off today. She was serving and was still going to be hungover the next day, thank you very much. This year, especially, she was putting everything into the party because it was a great distraction from the fact the second love of her life was gone and she’d probably die a sad, wrinkly human without knowing love again. But you wouldn’t know that if you looked at her. She was perky and on the ball and in her element as she walked around, giving drinks, taking shots, and bragging about the poutine this year.

Dyson did not celebrate Canada Day. However, that didn't mean that he wouldn't be there for Kenzi. She celebrated it and he'd be there for her. If it came down to it? He'd even be her designated person. They did, after all, live together. Though he can't help but smile a little watching her. Even with everything she'd been through she always came out on top. Always did her best to stick to her guns. Bo would've been proud of her.

"You realize if you keep bragging about it that you'll have to make me some, right?" He teases.

	"The fact you lived in Toronto for so long and never tried poutine is beyond me. Trick needs to add it to the Dal menu. "You know he's not going to add it to the Dal's menu. Though, I have to say that I actually miss the place," Dyson tells her with a half smile. Why wouldn't he? He'd actually been working there before he showed up in Madison. If it ever showed up in the place it would be nice. Not that the place really needed a waystation, as it were. As for being lucky about not remembering... well, that could be a double edged sword.

He gives her a smirk," No, if I said that you'd have to make it, Kenzi. You're the one bragging about it."

Kenzi was convinced she could wear down Trick over time enough that he'd acquiesce to her demand if she really put all her effort into it. Of course, she was dead back home so that wasn't going to be possible anymore.

"I'm bragging about the stuff we have here for consumption, D-Man. Which technically putting all three ingredients together is making it." It was the closest thing to cooking Kenzi was able to do.

No one could wear down Trick. They could try but it wouldn't really work all that well. He did miss Trick and the Dal. There were a lot of people from back home he missed. Bo was one of those people. Despite how long he'd been in Madison he still missed her and hadn't even decided to try dating again.

"As long as you're the one making it," He teases. "Your night has gone well, I take it?" As well as the night can go anyway.

"It's been great so far. People have come out, I've got to confuse a bunch of people with the word hoser and there's a lot of booze everywhere. What's not to like?" Kenzi grinned. "And then in three days there's another party with free food and where I have another excuse to day drink. So it's a great week to be Kenzi." She winked

"What about you? Having a good time?" She waggled her eyebrows at him.

"You confused a bunch of people with the word hoser?" Dyson asks with a raised brow. As for the free food and an excuse to drink... he ignores it a bit. Not that he can get as drunk as the humans can, even if it didn't stop him from drinking. "Good thing you're great to make it a great day," he tells her.

That eyebrow waggle has him giving a laugh," I'm having a good time, Kenzi." Sure, he wasn't getting out there talking to people, but he was having a good time. He was happily enjoying himself. "I might have to do this again next year," he teases.

"I mean, it's a weird word for most of the world." Not that most Canadians actually used the term unless you were from like Alberta or something.

"Well you're in luck because it does, in fact, happen once a year." She grinned at him. "Okay I'm going to go get you some poutine which I will put together myself and then you can try the awesomeness." And she was definitely going to film it for posterity as well.

	Hannibal was thrilled to find a Canada Day party in Madison. He'd lived South of the border for so long he been stuck celebrating the stars and stripes for years. "Can I get a shuggie?" "The fuck's a shuggie?" Lisbeth asked the man who'd approached the bar. She was neither Canadian nor American, but she was all for drunken holidays. So blame Canada, or something.

"I want a shuggie, too," she told the bartender. Even though she had absolutely no idea what it was she was getting herself into. She assumed it was some sort of Canadian drink. Hopefully a strong alcoholic Canadian drink.

She then eyed the man beside her. "Hey," she offered.

"Are you Canadian?" she asked, leaning against the bar as she eyed him. "Do you enjoy fucking moose? Do you have a special moose friend back home, pining away now that you're here?"

She smirked slightly at Hannibal as she spoke to him.

"You forgot about hockey. Some Canadian you are. I think you're an imposter." Then her attention was pulled toward the drink she'd ordered and had never heard about until five minutes ago. "Huh."

"Curling?" She thought about that for a moment. "The sport on ice with the brooms?" She didn't know much about it. She had seen it a few times when flipping through channels, but she only knew it by name.

She took a sip of the supposedly Canadian drink, then grinned at Hannibal. "I always knew Saskatchewan was suspicious. They looked at those moose longingly."

Lisbeth was full of shit. She didn't know a soul from Saskatchewan. And she didn't know how they looked at moose there. "What about the geese? Are they as horrible as people say?"
