Madison Valley was a unique place, and practicing law there was a unique experience as well. Of course, much (if not all) of Lucas's experience as an attorney had been with the Supernatural world, which he felt left him particularly suited to do that here. Of course, the cases he had here were even different than they were back home.
He did a lot of notary work, putting the seal of truth onto job resumes and college applications - since these materials could not be requested from home and they simply had to trust the applicants. He fought the few restrictions that Madison still retained against refugees. He helped with housing changes, when they were needed. And many other things that were only applicable to Madison Valley.
He was busy, of course, but he hardly ever went to trial. He missed it, but he knew that his work now was equally important.
Around noon, he'd locked his office and headed out to get something to eat. He could take as long of a break as he wanted, since he was pretty much his own boss and it wasn't like he wasn't working 60-80 hours in a week anyway. He thought about calling Paige to ask her to join him, but decided not to interrupt her busy day.
After some deliberation, he chose the Red Pepper, because they had quite good sandwiches and he liked the atmosphere. He was helped to his table and given a menu, which he then opened, even though he was mostly sure what he wanted.
